Standard dimensions (plant, elevation, cross-section) allow us describes with accurateness a 3D object in order to draw it in a 2D (like architect plan or designer plan).
To understand "how" and "why", we were working in a project which helps us study it in a intuitive and natural way.
During the process we had to resolve some problems which made us use our imagination and our creativity, and try to "think outside the box", and sharing the discovers with our classmates.
